badminton is bad-ass!

I haven't been watching the Olympics at all, but yesterday I happened to catch Maria Kristin Yulianti of Indonesia win the Bronze in women's badminton- preventing China from a medal-sweep.

I realized I need to practice drawing Asians, and she has such an interesting face.


those Filipino/Indonesian eyes are hard to draw. Until I met Chris, I'd never really tried drawing Asians. I need to practice a lot in the eyes.





I think I know what to do now.

I was trying to draw Keith Moon (the Who drummer), but it turned out to be a Romanian boy

this guy had a big protruding brow and always talked with his head tilted down. He was really smart and personable, but peculiar. On a news show on PBS
