My analysis; Kaspar is beside himself with sheer delight - giddy with pleasure in partaking of his Spring ritual, and enjoying the satisfactory physical glee.

I don't feel confident with what I did with his right arm,
and the perspectives on his feet,
or the placement of his pupils.
the top of eye mask seems too crowded.
Is there enough negative space around the face? It's such a delicate balancing act.
And I Really didn't know what to do with his hands.

accoutrements
I'm not sure about the expression or that the eyes wrap around the head properly. I also struggled coming up with an idea for the lumps on the back of his head

To me he seemed cautious and attentive while enjoying and savoring the sensation.

again, not sure if I accurately captured the moment in the expression. Going for a sense of wonder and mystery.

kaspar layout
First off, I apologize for the messiness, I had to make a... few adjustments. Next time I'll just start over.
And I still didn't leave enough negative space in his body.

major flaws I noticed:
Compacted the body. too thin and too short
leg too short
hands too flat
eyes don't wrap around head
foot angled too far back
eyes angled too far back
Not sure if the structure or the contrasts are there.
The angle of the head doesn't seem right.
forgot about face meat behind cheeks and eye-mask.
Face too crowded
The hands are really flat, again.

I made his cheek on the left to thin, and the cheek on the right to big. This would've worked better

More construction. I finally stopped toning down the line-of-action, but wouldn't ya know it- started toning down the basic shapes.

A few of these matched up perfectly though, which is a first. Ironically when I stopped measuring everything.

I still like that early Bugs profile, haha

And I started doing Topcat toy construction studies
