The Beatifics. Creative, catchy indie power-pop. Very 6o's.
Zolar X. (In the words of Jonathan Moore)
"If I had to choose a theme song right now... Here it is, for reals: the song that most sums up what I am all about as a human being. (Strangely enough, it was written by aliens) Of all the songs I have heard this year it's gotta be "Timeless" by Zolar X (the band that inspired everybody from Kiss to David Bowie to the Clash, Ramones, Sex Pistols, etc. etc. etc.) It's unbelievable that they recorded some of this stuff in 1974. It sounds like the best aspects of punk, prog rock, and early metal but they were around before the whole punk explosion."
I also finally saw the Flaming Lips documentary "The Fearless Freaks". It was put together very well, by their friend that has been filming them since they were kids in the late 70's. They are such interesting guys. And they call themselves normal...

Timeless - Zolar X
Longest days of summer - The Beatifics
