pure precociousness

Sloan has the biggest vocabulary in rock. Well, except for maybe Stephen Malkmus. But what Sloan may (or may not) lack in vastness, they make up in cleverness. Malkmus is clever, yet he’s also kind of a brainy show-off (not that there's anything wrong with that). With Sloan it’s like, “That’s so cool that they know that word! And that they used it like that in a song!”

"But haven't the sweetest idea
To me buzz is onomatopoeia."

A few "big words" per album, as where Malkmus has at least 5 per song -Which is great! I actually think Sloan is influenced a lot by Malkmus, as most indie bands these days are.
