Here's a layout study from John K's blog. I wish I had scanned each step, starting with the basic shapes. But here is the end result


I think I crowded a lot of things up. Like the tree brances. And I made the characters too big. I took a lot of liberties with the running character as well.

That looks great. I haven't tried this copy yet, but you look like you nearly have it. The flaws are really minor, but there little things that would just pass over anyone's head.

The only little things I can spot are the guys ear and hat, the horses tail, and I the Y in the tree. I wouldn't say you crowded things up really anywhere. It looks great.
