yazzle

Practiced painting by twice copying a painting by the great Mel Crawford, from the book "Uncle Wiggly"

Not very happy with either of them. I'm having trouble finding a good liner brush for thin lines. If anybody knows of a good one please let me know. (I'm trying to ween myself off doing the linework in Illustrator.)

Mel Crawford original

I wish I'd had time to paint the aligator, but alas.

I think they look good.

Hi, Patrick! Thanks for linking me to this study. It's an awesome tree! Even if it's not perfect, it's a nice study still. I hope I can do a version of my own soon.

As for tiny liner brushes? I have no idea for paint, but I know for ink there's little better (within reason/mass distribution) than winsor & newton series 7. I use them for inking sometimes.

Thanks and good luck. :)
