comandeer the atmosphere

Quotes of the weekend:

"I did it for Uncle Mikey" -Toad (from Rock & Rule)

"All my stories begin with 'One time Brielle and I..." - Ashley

"All my stories begin with 'One time on Pete and Pete..." -Me

"Gypsies: That's my answer for everything tonight." -Me. (and it was)

"Why don't you sell your magic cards and make a living off that, it's more than you'll ever make playing the oboe. I think the oboe hit its apex with Peter and the Wolf man. I mean, what were his parents thinking, "Oh yeah, the oboe, that's a great investment in our son's future." Seriously, has he looked in the mirror at himself while playing the oboe? Does he actually think, "yeah! people are just gonna bow down at my feet when I play this thing!" -Ezra, venting after this guy took his favourite practice room for the second time at school.

"This is the House of Peter." -Ezra, in regards to the fact that the Lord of the rings trilogy had been playing at our house virtually non-stop all weekend.

"that breakfast was ridiculous." -Caleb, referring to our house breakfast of ginormous french toast and delicious bacon.

"Yeah, my cat is pretty smart, he figured out how to turn the bathtub faucet on by himself. So now I hafta make sure the bathroom door is shut when I leave the house. He just uses his front paws and his teeth. The first time he did it, I came home and was like, "What the heck, why is the bathtub running"? -A security guard at work talking to a janitor I overheard walking down the hall.
